JEANETTE NICHOLLS: A retired civil servant, ending career with ACAS (Advisory, Conciliation
and Arbitration Service.)
TALK: Jeanette’s father was an amateur actor so grew up with theatre.
When the Theatre Royal was built she joined TRAC, the independent
supporters group. She became a committee member and set up and ran with a
small group of members the Theatre Royal Costume Hire Department.
This led to becoming the wardrobe manager of all the Music of the Night
shows performed at the Royal Citadel in Plymouth
In 1992 Jeanette became chairman of TRAC until 2015 when the theatre
opened their own supporters group.
During the 40 years of association she met most, if not all, of the actors who
performed in the Theatre Royal or Drum theatres.
Her talk is about some of the ones she met.
