Friends of the Wharf

About the Friends

The Friends of the Wharf are a group of volunteers who raise funds to improve the Wharf and provide volunteer help with its maintenance.

Within the last year the Friends have purchased new computers, contributed to specialist repairs to the locks on the glass doors to the main entrance and patio, renovated the outside guttering, repainted the patio tables and umbrella stands, weeded the patio area, supplied plants for the patio and front tubs and garden borders, organised the redecoration of the toilets and dressing rooms and put fresh flowers on reception.

The increasingly popular Lunchtime Lectures (see below) are organised by the Friends. These support the Wharf Coffee Shop and have required the purchase of additional chairs.

The Friends of the Wharf also publish a regular newsletter which is sent to members. You can download the latest newsletter below in PDF format.  You can download the latest newsletter below in PDF format.
