Talk | Seated
Dr. HARRY BENNETT: Started teaching at the University of Plymouth in 1992 and is an Honorary Associate Professor. In addition to appearing on TV and the Radio he is author of over 20 books.
TALK: Examines the experiences of one US Army unit in Britain during 1943 and 1944. The 29th Infantry Division played a critical role in D-Day and beyond, as it prepared for war in the villages and towns of West Devon and Cornwall. The American soldiers had a profound impact on local life, and, in return, living in Cornwall and Devon left powerful memories and experiences on American boys so very far from home.
