TALK: From Tavistock to South America and back. From Gunnislake to South Africa and back. Miners and those associated with the industry followed the work. Some stayed in countries such as Australia, but the pull of family ties drew many other workers back to the area. This talk will focus on the stories of these workers and their families, which are richer and more colourful than any historical fiction.
